What an interesting day yesterday was!  Where to start?

Family

First of all, I went tobogganing with the girls and a friend.  I don’t remember the hills being so bumpy as a kid.  I suppose that’s the reality of getting older.  At least I can still run up the hill much faster than they can.  For now.

We went to family yoga in the afternoon.  The kids didn’t really want to go but I think they enjoyed it anyway.  The class was fun and lighthearted.  I know I enjoyed it and Tanja and I managed to do a little acro yoga without killing ourselves.  It was a nice way to spend an hour as a family.

We then hit McDonald’s for an epic throw down.  Chloe was pretty sure she could eat nine cheeseburgers at a sitting.  I said four.  We decided to temporarily discard everything we stand for as a family and put her to the test.  The result.  FOUR.  Daddy’s are right about everything.

The Book of Open

I’m feeling like this might have some legs.  I have gotten some amazing stories submitted already.   I got two yesterday from someone who has been on Oprah for crying out loud!!  This is seriously going amazingly.  I couldn’t be happier.

Exercise

15 sets of kettlebell swings with the 44 pounders for sets of  18-20.  Those numbers are up significantly from the last time I used those bells.  I was watching Shadow Hunters with the kids  while I was working out.  I’m embarrassed to admit I’m getting into that show.  I also walked up the sledding hill about 10-12 times.  Hey, it counts.

Gratitude

I am grateful for family time.  It’s the best time of all.

I am grateful for Chloe’s cheerleading coach.  She has had some experiences that are similar to Chloe’s.  She told me last night that Chloe is an amazing kid with so much potential and she can talk to her about anything at any time.  That is awesome.

I’m grateful that I feel like I am making a difference.

I am grateful for today.  What are you grateful for?
